Well here we are again at the end of another year and the start of a new one. It's amazing how quickly it all goes by. It would be an understatement to say that this last year has been an eventful one - professionally, personally, politically and culturally, it's been seismic.
On a professional level, I have worked with some amazing clients this year and I'm truly grateful for all of the couples who have had the faith and trust in me to capture their wedding day story and to do it in my artistic and timeless style. My aim with wedding photography has always been to give my clients an amazing set of pictures that will stand the test of time. So I owe a big thank you to everyone whose wedding I have shot this year for giving me this opportunity.
On a personal level, this year has swung from sadness to joy and just about every other emotion in between. My father sadly passed away, which is something I'm still coming to terms with. He was truly a great man who would have done anything for our family and is sorely missed. This was closely followed by the fantastic news that my partner is expecting our first baby. We are both absolutely overjoyed, as it's been quite a journey for us both to arrive at this point. So our prayers are for our first child to arrive safely into this world in 2017.
As for political and cultural events, 2016 has been full-on to say the least. I know that future historians will study the events of this last year for a long, long time.
Finally, here is a selection of some of my personal favourite pictures from weddings that I have shot in 2016. Wishing you the best of luck for the year ahead. Hope you enjoy...
